Yasa Grannies who recently participated in the Grandys international tournament in South Africa has sparked inspiration and motivation for another team of Gogo's (Grandys) in Lusaka. Yasa grannies participated in the Mama Bekka's International football tournament in South Africa where they made a good exhibition despite not managing to qualify to the next level of the tournament. Saturday, 20th May 2023, another team has been formed in Chilenje township under the name 'Untamed Chilenje Gogos' to put the Zambian flag high and do better than the Yasa Grannies. The Lusaka-based grannies have come up with their own side team with manager Patricia Chaile, who is also co-founder, saying women of Chilenje township were motivated to form their team after seeing what Yasa did at the former tournament. In an interview, Chaile disclosed that there has been an overwhelming form in the community members where about 40 women between the ages of 49 to 70 showed interest and are willing to compete. Patricia further disclosed that the is to help old women in the communities keep fit and help them fight against chronic diseases as they compete with other teams.
