ZAMBIA Football Coaches Association (ZaFCA) president Dan Kabwe has announced his intention to seek re-election at the upcoming annual general meeting on June 24 in Lusaka. Vice-president Lewis Shambulo confirmed this news, stating that Kabwe will be running for another term as his current term comes to an end. However, the positions of other executive committee members are yet to be determined, as they will convene for a meeting on June 5 to discuss their future plans. The elective meeting, scheduled for June 24, will be held in Lusaka, although the exact venue is yet to be confirmed. Initially, the deadline for closing nominations was May 30, but it has now been extended to June 7. This extension allows potential candidates sufficient time to prepare their nominations for the upcoming elections. So far, only Dan Kabwe has submitted his nomination for a position, but Vice-president Shambulo expressed confidence that more candidates will come forward before the deadline. To be eligible for candidacy, individuals must be paid-up members in good standing with the association. Shambulo emphasized the importance of fulfilling membership requirements, urging members to pay their fees promptly to attend the meeting and actively participate in the deliberations. The extension of the deadline not only allows potential candidates more time to submit their nominations but also provides the executive committee with an opportunity to adequately plan for the upcoming meeting.
