Sport in Action

A two-day netball tournament held by Sport in Action to commemorate International Children's Day that falls on November 20th attracted 212 aspiring players from Mtendere, Chibolya, Kalikiliki, Kaunda Square, Kanyama, and Fountain of Hope. Day one, held at Chainama hills courts, crowned Mtendere as victors over Kaunda Square and Kalikiliki. The action moved to Chibolya Community school on day two, where teams from Chibolya, Fountain of Hope, and Kanyama contended. Team United Stars academy won the final match amid cheers, with the Netball national Team coach present. Expressing gratitude, Coach Tembo, reminiscing his netball beginnings in Chibolya, stressed grassroots development's pivotal role. He urged stakeholders to back initiatives supporting sports, emphasizing its impact on the well-being of children and youth. The tournament showcased young talents, fostering cooperation and socialization among diverse hub-sites. Sport in Action remains committed to its motto, "Healthy and better living for all."
