Zambia's national netball teams in the upcoming Africa Netball Cup, Vedanta stepped up with a contribution. The mining company handed over a K100,000 cheque during a press briefing held this morning in support of the women's and men's national netball teams as they prepare up for the tournament in Botswana from November 26th to December 6th, 2023. With less than 10 days remaining until the commencement of the Africa Netball Cup, Netball Zambia is actively seeking to secure a total of K234,000 to cover the necessary expenses for both teams' participation. The generous contribution from Vedanta comes as a timely boost, reinforcing the commitment to the growth of netball in the country. Zambia currently holds the 5th position in Africa's netball rankings and is placed 15th globally. As the teams embark on this continental challenge, the support from Vedanta not only addresses financial needs but also serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts fostering the development and success of netball on both national and international fronts.
