The Zambia Athletes Commission has lamented the government's alleged neglect in sponsoring the Netball National teams to participate in the 2023 Africa Netball Cup. Chairperson of the Zambia Athletes Commission,Richard Mulenga says he finds it demoralizing for netball players to hear about insufficient funds, especially considering the recent chartering of a plane for the men's national football team. Mulenga has accused the government of bias towards football, neglecting other sports. Despite attempts to seek a government response, their efforts prove futile. He emphasized the need for broader support for various sports in the country, questioning if football is the sole focus, given the diverse sports showcased at the recently held sports expo.
