Netball Zambia
With a shortfall of K170,000 to field both the Women's and Men's National Netball teams at the Africa Netball Cup in Gaborone, Botswana, the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has doubled its contribution, now totaling K60,000. Pritchard Ngoma, Secretary General of Netball Zambia, expressed gratitude for the support from sponsors like Zambia Air Force (ZAF), Vedanta, NOCZ, and Atlas Mara. Currently, efforts are ongoing to secure additional funds, aiming to bridge the remaining gap. If successful, the men's team could travel by bus to Gaborone before the tournament begins on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Ngoma remains optimistic, stating that door is not yet closed and as soon as funds come in,the team will be put on the next bus. The Africa Netball Cup is scheduled to take place from November 28 to December 6, 2023.
