In what is described as a local derby in a foreign land, the men’s Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club are set to face off with local side, Wolves Lusaka Volleyball Club in the quarter finals of the 2023 Confederation of African Volleyball Zone VI Senior Club Championship which is currently taking place in Maseru, Lesotho. The match will kickoff at 17:30 hours at Maseru Wool Centre and will see the two local sides who have met before on more than two occasions, with Green Buffaloes coming out victorious on all encounters, battle it out for a chance at victory. The tournament kicked off 5 days ago and has seen four Zambian teams which are Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club, both the ladies and Gents Teams, Wolves Lusaka Volleyball Club and Falcons Volleyball Club advance to the quarter finals where they will face off with other African Volleyball Clubs with the aim of advancing to the finals. On the other side of the pitch, the ladies Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club is also scheduled to take on Mafolofolo from Botswana in the quarter finals at 11:30 hours at the same venue while the Falcons Volleyball Club will showdown against the UZ Wolves of Zimbabwe at 15:30 hours.
