The Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Level Two High-Performance International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) course by Coach Luckson Mazumbo of Green Buffaloes. The course, which took place in eSwatini, has added a new dimension to Mazumbo's coaching prowess. In a statement issued by ZAVA's General Secretary, Joachim Nyoni, Mazumbo's coaching experience and unwavering discipline have orchestrated a remarkable transformation within the Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club. Notably, the team has ascended to the eighth position in the African rankings. This remarkable achievement was made possible through Mazumbo's dedication, and his efforts were also recognized as he was awarded the title of Best Practical Coordinator. "Thanks to Coach Mazumbo's tireless commitment and disciplined coaching approach, the Green Buffaloes Volleyball Club has undergone a significant revolution. The team's remarkable journey to the eighth position in Africa is a testament to his expertise. This achievement was solidified during their participation in the Africa National Championship in Tunisia," Nyoni commented. Furthermore, Nyoni highlighted the exceptional accomplishments of the Buffaloes, emphasizing their victories across various ZAVA competitions. These achievements included triumphs in the national league, the Independence Cup, and the Zone Six Senior Men's Club Championship. Additionally, he proudly announced that the Buffaloes have already secured victory in the ZAVA Open this season. With Mazumbo's enriched skill set acquired from the FIVB course, ZAVA anticipates immense benefits for the association and other volleyball clubs. "We are confident that ZAVA and other clubs will reap the rewards of his extensive knowledge and honed skills," Nyoni stated. He also took the opportunity to extend gratitude to the Zambia Army Command for their sponsorship of the course and their continued support in advancing the game of volleyball. Nyoni urged clubs and sponsors to draw inspiration from the Zambia Army's commitment to volleyball. He encouraged them to follow suit by not only investing in the sport but also extending opportunities for employment to players, thus contributing to the sport's growth and development.
