The Zambia National Handball Team has left for Egypt in anticipation of the 26th CAHB African Men's Championships, set to unfold from 17th to 27th January in Cairo. The team left for Egypt yesterday after having spent dedicated days in a training camp at OYDC Zambia - Sports Development Center in preparation for the tournament. Ahead of their departure, they participated in a comprehensive session on safety and ethical competition. The session, which was conducted by NOCZ Safe Sport Officer Prudence Nswana, Dr. Shula Chanda of the NOCZ Medical Commission, and Anti-doping Expert, Likemore Mahunje, focused on imparting crucial insights into safeguarding and anti-doping education. The session ensured that the team is well-versed in competing with integrity, effectively managing injuries, and upholding the highest ethical standards while proudly representing Zambia. In Group A of the tournament, the Zambian handball team is set to face tough opponents, including Cape Verde, DR Congo, and Rwanda.
