The Zambia National Handball Team suffered a crashing 45-13 defeat against Cape Verde in their second group A match at the ongoing CABH African Men's Championship in Egypt. This second consecutive loss, has ended Zambia's hopes of participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as it was part of the qualification criteria. Zambia also fell 45-21 at the hands of the Democratic Republic of Congo in their opening match encounter. The team now sets its sights on securing a spot among the top six teams with the aim of clinching a qualification in the 2025 Poland and Norway World Cup tournament. The upcoming challenge awaits Zambia on Sunday against Rwanda, who also faced a setback with a 38-20 loss to DR Congo.
