Green Buffaloes yesterday finished third at the East Africa Netball Championship in Kenya to the delight of Netball Zambia general secretary Prichard Ngoma. Buffaloes amassed four points to finish behind winners Uganda on eight points while the second went to Prisons of Kenya. The Monica Mwala-coached Buffaloes side managed to collect victories against Tamisemi and Nyika Queens of Tanzania but lost to NIC and Prisons. In an interview from Nairobi, Ngoma described the outing as a good experience and a good platform for the team to grow. Ngoma said the tournament provided a platform for the team to gain the needed exposure and urged them to continue working hard for the safety of their future engagements. "It was a good outing experience and exposure was gained therefore Buffaloes need to build on it," He further narrated. "We just need to go back to the drawing board and work on the mistakes noted during the tournament to improve in the next incoming tournaments," He explained Ngoma added that there was a need to strengthen the technical bench and make a few changes to the technical team. Ngoma said that there is a need to strengthen the technical bench not that there's anything wrong with the personnel and also need to beef up the squad. This tournament exposed our weakness and also players that have not been in form for some time now," He disclosed.
