The relegation-threatened National First Division side Kafue Celtic has placed Joel Bwalya on administrative leave until the end of the season. And Division 2 side Young Crocs [feeder club for Kafue Celtic] coaches Aaron Kawangu and Davies Sinyangwe will act as co-managers for the senior team. Bwalya, a former Zambia international took over the reins at the Lee Kawanu bankrolled club last season during their debut season in the Zambian Super League. Despite being demoted from the top flight, Celtic stuck with him in the second tier. Following Saturday’s 3-2 away defeat to Atletico Lusaka, Celtic dropped into the relegation zone. Kawangu and Sinyangwe’s task will be to salvage Celtic’s status in the second tier. Celtic host Konkola Blades this weekend at Independence Stadium before an away tie against Kitwe United. They will then face the City of Lusaka and Lusaka Dynamos in the capital mini-derbies, Sandwiched between that will be another match on the Copperbelt against Jumulo. Celtic are currently 16th on the log with 31 points.
