Livingstone District Women's Football Coordinator, CANAAN HABANYAMA, has urged football fans not to worry about the National Women's football team’s performance against South Korea. HABANYAMA said that the two matches that Zambia played against South Korea were just preparatory games to assess the players. Copper Queens suffered a humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat across two matches against South Korea in Asia during the just-ended women's international FIFA break. He said the Zambia National Women’s football team has very good players but that the girls need a bit of time to get used to each other since they have been playing in different leagues. Zambia is in Group C alongside Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup slated for July 20 to August 20, 2023.
