Zambia Women's National Team captain Barbra Banda is confident that her team will have a good showing at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Banda, who was speaking after the team arrived in New Zealand, said that the team wants to have a good experience and exposure at the biggest women's football event on the planet. "It's amazing for our first time here. I think we will have a good experience and exposure," said Banda. "The World Cup is a very huge tournament. We are very happy as a team and want to do well." Banda reiterated her earlier sentiments that the team aims to get out of the group and possibly go all the way. "Our aim and target as a team is to get out of the group and maybe go all the way," she said. "We are very ready, and the morale in camp is high. Everyone is excited, and we are just waiting for the first game," she added. Zambia will open their World Cup debut on July 22 when they go against 2011 champions Japan.
