Thursday, 15th June 2023, Humphrey Mulenga will be battling Guelor Sondi of DRC at one of the big stages of the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) in South Africa. EFC is a South African mixed martial arts promotion company established in 2009 and has been promoting MMA since its establishment. Following in the footsteps of Rob Simbowe, Humphrey Mulenga makes his hexagon debut in the biggest event on the African Continent, the EFC. His fight takes place on the 15th of June and it is expected to be live on DSTV. Fight fans are in for a violent treat as DRC’s nimble-footed kickboxer Guelor Sondi faces off against the Zambian MMA sensation Humphrey Mulenga at #EFC104. Having trained extensively with former EFC alumni Themba Takura L Gorimbo and Demarte Pena, Mulenga is coming off a sensational win in Abu Dhabi where his elbows secured him a first-round knockout. Mulenga is a technical striker with an explosive ground game who likes to pile on the pressure right from the first bell. Originally a Ulemu Fight Academy and City Fight Club athlete, Humphrey is ready to lay the world to waste in his quest for the belt. Sondi however is a veteran kickboxer whose elusive movement often frustrates opponents into making mistakes, resulting in a rude awakening under the hexagon lights. His three top-drawer knock-outs have shown why ‘King’ continues to impress and now that he’s training under the watchful tutelage of Hex legend Boyd Allen, Sondi is keen to show the world what he’s been working on at Apex before he takes that walk to the cage on the 15th of June, which is where he will find the rising Lusakan star prowling in wait.
