Zambian striker Francisco Mwepu will make his debut for Cadiz in their La Liga match against Villarreal. The 22-year-old, who joined Cadiz from Sturm Graz, has earned his place in the match-day squad for the first time. Mwepu has been playing for Cadiz B in the lower tier. He previously represented Zambia in the Cosafa Under-20 tournament in 2019 but is yet to make his senior debut for the national team, known as the Chipolopolo. Interestingly, Mwepu's elder brother Enoch captained the Chipolopolo before retiring due to a hereditary cardiac disease. If he steps onto the pitch today, Mwepu will become the first Zambian player in history to feature in Spain's La Liga, highlighting the increasing interest in Zambian talent across Europe.
