Zambian judokas Steven Mung'andu and Simon Zulu showcased their exceptional talent at the Abidjan African Open 2023, earning two medals for their remarkable performances. Mung'andu emerged as the champion, claiming the gold medal after a tough match against Nkero Fernando of Gabon in the Men's 66KG. Meanwhile, Zulu secured the second position, winning the silver medal in a closely fought contest against Leonard De Menezes of Angola in the Men's 60KG. The outstanding achievements of these two judokas have further fueled their determination as they gear up for the upcoming Niamey African Open 2023, scheduled to take place from June 24 to 25, 2023.
