Zambia Judo Association (JAZ) referee, Malambo Malambo, embarked on a significant journey to Madagascar earlier this week to participate in the Africa Judo Union Refereeing and Coaching seminar. Additionally, he will be officiating at the highly anticipated Africa Judo Championships for Junior and Cadet categories. The informative seminar, led by Mr. Ababacar Ngom, AJU Head Refereeing Director, and Mr. Khaled Anwar, AJU Refereeing Director, commenced on July 24th and will conclude on July 26th, 2023, coinciding with the day of departure back to their respective countries. One of the primary objectives of the seminar is to delve into the analysis and explanation of the activities conducted by country associations throughout the year, starting from January 2023. This comprehensive assessment aims to identify areas of improvement and share best practices in refereeing and coaching techniques to enhance the overall standard of Judo in the region. Moreover, the seminar provides a valuable platform for country associations to address local issues that require attention and improvement. Participants have the opportunity to submit their suggestions and concerns, allowing their coordinating association to devise strategies for implementation in the remaining quarter of 2023 or early 2024. Malambo Malambo's participation in this event represents JAZ's commitment to promoting and developing Judo in the region.
