Kabwe Warriors head coach Mumamba will lead the Chipolopolo Boys at the upcoming 2023 COSAFA tournament, according to an announcement by Reuben Kamanga, the Secretary-General of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). This decision comes as Avram Grant, the national team coach, will be involved with the Copper Queens during the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Currently, Numba is with the local squad, which is in training camp preparing for the tournament. The team has two international friendly matches scheduled for this month to fine-tune their skills. Assisting Numba will be Mwenya Chipepo and Masauso Tembo, while Emmanuel Msichili takes on the role of goalkeeper coach. The first friendly match will be against Kuwait in Egypt on June 12th at 18:00. ZNBC TV3 will broadcast the match live. The second friendly against Morocco is yet to have a confirmed date and time. These two matches are crucial in the team's preparation for the COSAFA Cup, set to be held in Durban, South Africa, from July 5th to 16th.
