In a thrilling night of football at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in Inverness, Frankie Chisenga Musonda and his AYR teammates secured their spot in the Scottish Cinch Championship Promotion Play-Offs. Going into week 36, Ayr needed a win to guarantee one of the two remaining places in the promotion playoffs. The Chipolopolo Boys defender's side was up against it, with their opponents looking to snatch victory from under their noses. However, Ayr's perseverance paid off, thanks in large part to super-sub Mark McKenzie. McKenzie, a product of the United Academy, came off the bench to score a last-minute winner and send Ayr through to the playoffs. With the game tied at 1-1 and Ayr sitting in fifth place, McKenzie showed incredible composure to convert a cutback from fellow substitute Daire O'Connor. The victory propelled Ayr into second place in the standings and secured their spot in the semi-finals of the playoffs. The night was not without its heart-stopping moments, however. In a frantic final few minutes, Frankie Musonda had to clear the ball off the line to prevent the hosts from snatching a draw. Despite the nail-biting finish, Ayr United emerged victorious and will now await the winners of Queen's Park against Partick Thistle in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cinch Championship Promotion Play-Offs. It was a night that Ayr fans will not forget anytime soon, thanks to the heroics of their players, particularly the game-winning performance of McKenzie. Graphic-AYR United
