Power Dynamos, the Zambian representatives in the CAF 2023/24 Champions League, is facing a race against time to meet the club licensing requirements set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). One of the conditions mandated by CAF for participation in the inter-club championships is the presence of a women's team, in addition to the necessary infrastructure and permanent offices with employed staff. However, at present, Power Dynamos does not have a women's team. George Chaloba, the CEO of Power Dynamos, speaking with Times of Zambia acknowledged the importance of complying with CAF's regulations and stated that they are carefully considering Article 27 of the participation criteria. This article presents two options: establishing a women's team or entering into a partnership with a club that already has one. Chaloba expressed his satisfaction at Power Dynamos being chosen as Zambia's representative in the prestigious Champions League and credited the collective efforts of everyone involved with the club for their successful qualification. As the deadline for compliance approaches, Power Dynamos will need to act swiftly to either form a women's team or explore a partnership to ensure their full eligibility for the CAF 2023/24 Champions League.
