After hosting the Monze, Sanje, Mazabuka, Mansa, Nkana, and Kabwe Open tournaments this year, the Zambia Golf Union will be hosting the Choma Open tournament this month. Scheduled for September 16-17, 2023, in the heart of scenic Choma, the two-day tournament promises to bring golfing excellence for seasoned golfers and those just getting into the swing of things. The Union has targeted a minimum of three events on the calendar that will attract World Amateur Ranking Points this year. Two of these have already been completed, with the last one scheduled for November. This move is part of the Union's strategy to increase the level of competition for local events so that players are exposed to high levels of competition.
