Zambian golfer Dayne Moore concluded his campaign at the Fortress Invitational Championship held at the Glendover Golf Club in South Africa on a high note, showcasing his resilience on the final day with an impressive one-under-par 71. Throughout the tournament, Moore faced fluctuations in his scores, but his final round performance stood out. He finished the championship with a combined score that placed him joint 45th, sharing this spot with five other players in a closely contested field. During the last day of play, Moore delivered a remarkable performance, securing five birdies while grappling with four bogeys. This strong showing allowed him to contend for a portion of the £2 million prize money. Moore's day began brightly with an early birdie on the first hole, followed by another on the third. However, he faced a setback on the fourth hole, registering a bogey, which had been a recurring challenge for him throughout the four rounds. Undeterred, Moore swiftly recovered with a birdie on the fifth hole. Unfortunately, he encountered more obstacles on the sixth and eighth holes, resulting in additional bogeys. The back nine proved to be an even greater challenge, as Moore grappled with bogeys on the 10th and 14th holes. Nevertheless, he demonstrated unwavering resilience with birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, ultimately closing out the round with a level-par performance on the last hole. Moore's strong finish on the final day provided a bright spot in an otherwise inconsistent performance, leaving him with a positive note to carry forward in his golfing journey.
