Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) vice-president, Arnold Simulezi has implored Green Buffaloes men's team to prepare adequately for the Africa Club Volleyball Championship to be held in Tunisia next month. 9th to 22nd May 2023, will be the date for the Green Buffaloes men to play. This will be followed by the Women's tournament which will take place from 13th to 26th in the same country. In an interview conducted on 26th April, Simulezi said that Buffaloes should travel to Tunisia to Compete and not to make up numbers. Green Buffaloes are one of the best clubs in the Southern region, they conquered last year. So we hope they can go with that same zeal and spirit to Tunisia. "They have to be at their best, they will be going up against Africa's best club teams, so we expect hard work from them," Simulezi said. In order to qualify for the Africa Tunisia club tournament, Buffaloes last December beat Academica De Maputo of Mozambique 3-2 during the Zone Six Volleyball Championship held in Lusaka.
