The Zambia National Volleyball League concluded its thrilling weekend fixture with a crescendo of passion and athleticism that left spectators and players alike yearning for more. In a stunning display of teamwork and resilience, the University of Zambia (gents) overcame the formidable Napsa 3-2 with one goal difference. The intense rivalry between the two teams was evident throughout the game, as they exchanged powerful attacks and well-placed blocks. Meanwhile, the Nkwazi Volleyball Club (ladies) showcased their dominance as they swept aside Solwezi Ackers in a 3-0 victory. Nkwazis' impeccable coordination and precision left their opponents struggling to match their pace. With this resounding victory, Nkwazi sent a clear message to their competitors that they are ready to take on any challenge that comes their way in the Zava Open Tournament. In another thrilling encounter, the Wolves (gents) volleyball club battled it out against the High flying team Chapazi (Nkwazi gents) in a back-and-forth contest that had spectators on the edge of their seats. Both teams displayed remarkable skill and determination, refusing to back down. Wolves took the lead and defeated Nkwazi with a 3-1 victory. Later in the tournament, the much-anticipated battle between Green Buffaloes vs Prison leopards (ladies) ended 3-1 in favor of Green Buffaloes who came from a set down to secure their victory. The next Zava Open Tournament series will be played on 16-18th June 2023 as shared by Deputy Publicity and information secretary, Martin Chalwe.
