In the world of netball, Premier League Week 17 unfolded in thrilling fashion, with few things as exciting as the Midlands Netball Association (MINA) Premier League. On a crisp Saturday, the 30th of September 2023, netball enthusiasts gathered at the University of Zambia (UNZA) in Lusaka, ready for a day of intense competition and breathtaking moments. The stage was set, and the matches began with the vigour of athletes passionate about their sport. Four remarkable games were played, each leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. First up, Kalingalinga United faced off against Green Eagles in a closely contested battle. The final score of 35-39, in favour of Green Eagles, left fans in awe of the skill and determination on display. The excitement didn't stop there. Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes took to the court, delivering a high-scoring clash. With a final score of 43-60, Green Buffaloes emerged victorious, showcasing their prowess in the game. NAPSA and Nkwazi locked horns in another enthralling encounter. The scoreline of 35-41 favoured Nkwazi, but both teams left it all on the court, demonstrating their commitment to the sport. Finally, UNZA faced the formidable Lusaka City Council team. Despite their best efforts, UNZA couldn't withstand the dominance of Lusaka City Council, resulting in a score of 17-62 in favour of the latter. The confirmation of these results came from MINA's Head of Media and Marketing, Yvonne Kamanda, who was undoubtedly pleased with the thrilling showcase of talent. As the day concluded, netball enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the final Week 18 games, scheduled for November 4, 2023. Additionally, the men's division would see action in Week 10, promising more excitement and competition in the world of netball.
