Nelson Emmanuel Phiri joined Sport in Action as a participant at Hillside Primary School. He then took a level-one netball coaching course at NASDEC in 2019. He is now a netball coach at Sport in Action's Matero Hub. "I love coaching because I want to see the children progress. It's better for them to have something to do, rather than wandering around without purpose. I want to help shape their future and careers." When asked about his future plans, he said he wants to coach netball abroad. His goal is to obtain the World Netball Certificate, which will allow him to coach internationally. Nelson is currently continuing his education by pursuing more courses. He has already completed level one and is now taking another course. He just needs to complete three more workshops to finish.
