Coach Charles Haalubono joined the Green Buffaloes Women’s team in 2005, and it took nine years for the team to win their first trophy in 2014. From 2015 to 2020, they dominated the league and secured their position as one of the best teams in the country. In March 2021, they won the league once again and secured a place to participate in the Cosafa Women’s tournament. They finished third in the tournament. In 2022, the team won the league once again and had another opportunity to play in the Cosafa tournament. This time, they emerged as champions, cementing their status as one of the best teams in the region. The 2022/2023 season was the toughest ever in the history of women's football in Zambia, according to Coach Haalubono. However, his team prevailed and was crowned 2022/23 FAZ Women's Super League champions on the final day of the season, retaining the title they won last season. Haalubono attributed his team's success to hard work and determination. The team's focus has now shifted to defending the women's COSAFA tournament in August this year. On the final day of the league, Green Buffaloes defeated Queens Sports Academy 0-1 in Kabwe to be confirmed as champions. Maylan Malanga scored the solitary goal, securing the title for the team. Red Arrows, who were leading the league standings, needed only a victory on the final day to win the title for the first time but were denied the opportunity by BUSA when they played out to a goalless draw. Green Buffaloes ended the season on 81 points, one point ahead of second-placed Red Arrows. Graphic - Green Buffaloe's ladies Fc
