Members of the Zambian golfing community and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) have joined forces for a charitable cause, generously supported by Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ). This annual Golf Day serves as a platform for networking and fostering business connections, with a commendable 15 percent of the proceeds dedicated to charitable endeavors. As a prominent platinum sponsor, CCBZ contributed K80,000 towards this event, reflecting their commitment to partnerships and collaboration. Herbert Nuwamanya, General Manager of CCBZ, emphasized the significance of working collectively as a business community in Zambia, addressing critical issues such as plastic waste, water resource management, and climate change. He stressed that CCBZ, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), believes in the power of collective action and partnerships to effect positive change. CCBA itself was formed in July 2016 through the successful consolidation of Coca-Cola's non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage businesses in southern and East Africa, in collaboration with SABMiller Plc and Gutsche Family Investments. Currently, CCBA's shareholders comprise The Coca-Cola Company (66.5 percent) and Gutsche Family Investments (33.5 percent). Operating across 15 countries, including key markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia, Comoros, Mayotte, Eswatini, Lesotho, and Malawi, CCBA is dedicated to making Africa a better place through its collective efforts and partnerships.
