Amid the ongoing Altron Big Easy Tour in South Africa, Zambian golfers Dayne Moore and Sydney Wemba faced disappointment as they failed to secure a spot in the subsequent rounds of the competition. Dayne Moore kicked off the tournament on a promising note, carding an impressive six-under-par 67 in the initial round. With a display of skill that included well-executed birdies, his start looked hopeful. However, luck took a turn in the second round, leading to a downturn in his performance. Unfortunately, his efforts fell short of securing his qualification for the last two rounds of the competition. On the other hand, Sydney Wemba encountered challenges from the start of the tournament. Posting a discouraging four-over-par 76 in the initial round, he struggled to find his footing. Despite his efforts, his performance remained lackluster in the second round, as he carded a three-over-par 75. Both Moore and Wemba faced an uphill battle to make the cut, which was set at three under par. Unfortunately, their scores didn't meet the required standard, preventing them from progressing further in the competition. The Altron Big Easy Tour, primarily dominated by South African golfers, showcased André Van Dyk as the current frontrunner. Van Dyk exhibited remarkable prowess with an impressive score of 11 under par, positioning himself at the top of the leaderboard. In the Zambian contingent, Madalitso Muthiya, a familiar presence on the Sunshine Tour, did not participate in this particular event. As the Altron Big Easy Tour unfolds, golf enthusiasts continue to witness the triumphs and challenges that accompany the pursuit of excellence on the fairways.
