The football association of Zambia has announced that the association made k1.8million from the recent two international games that Zambia hosted in Ndola FAZ acting General Secretary Iva Lengwe says after taking into account all costs associated with the game and reconciliations with the ticketing vendor the Association had netted about K1.8 million from Zambia versus Lesotho AFCON qualifier. Lengwe says FAZ raked K80,000 for the Under-23 match between Zambia and Egypt played on March 26. He adds on to say that this comes from gate-taking and pitch-side advertising in Zambia against Lesotho game in which the association pocked k1.8m and k80,000 from gate-taking in Zambia under-23 encounter against Egypt played on the same venue. “In keeping with our tradition of transparency and accountability, we are happy to announce the gate takings from our two international assignments. For the Chipolopolo match we made a net of K1.8 million that came from gate charges and pitch-side advertising,” Lengwe says. “For the under-23 match, we made a net of K80, 000 which came from gate charges.” Mr. Lengwe thanked the fans who showed up to support the national team and he has appealed for more support going forward. The Chipolopolo hosted Lesotho on March 23 in a Group H qualifier while the U23 hosted Egypt on March 26 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. FAZ
