Numba Mumamba's locally assembled Chipolopolo boys faced a disappointing setback today as they suffered a 3-0 defeat against Kuwait in Egypt. The Zambia national team is currently in North Africa, gearing up for the upcoming COSAFA tournament, which will be held in South Africa next month. The friendly match against Kuwait was the first of two matches organized by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) as part of the team's training camp. The Zambian team, known for their passionate and skillful play, had high hopes for a positive result in this match. However, Kuwait proved to be a formidable opponent. The Chipolopolo boys struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to convert their chances into goals. The Kuwaiti team capitalized on the situation, netting three goals and securing a convincing victory. Their next stop will be Morocco, where they are scheduled to face the Moroccan national team on June 19th in Rabat. This match will provide another opportunity for the team to fine-tune their strategies and gain valuable experience against tough opposition. Following their encounter with Morocco, the Chipolopolo boys will return to Zambia to conclude their preparations for the upcoming tournament. Zambia, the defending champions of the COSAFA tournament, will be eager to retain their title.
