Power Dynamos have concluded their pre-season training camp in Mongu ahead of the start of the new MTN FAZ Super League season on August 19th. The defending champions will kick off their title defense with an away match against Prison Leopards in Kabwe. Speaking during the training camp, Power Dynamos Football Club Executive Committee member Masauso Lungu emphasized that the club's top priorities for the forthcoming season are to defend the local championship and bring home the Confederation of African Football (CAF) trophy. Lungu said that the club was prepared in all aspects to ensure success and bring honor to its supporters. "We are not just going there to participate but to compete and ensure we shatter our record of being the only Zambian club to win the Continental trophy twice," he said. Meanwhile, the club has been actively searching the market for quality reinforcements to assist in achieving its 2023–2024 goals. Power Dynamos are one of the most successful clubs in Zambian football, having won the league title 7 times. They are also the only Zambian club to have won the CAF Cup Winners' Cup, which they did in 1991. The club will be hoping to build on their success of last season and challenge for the CAF Champions League title this year.
