Trident football club has officially qualified for the FAZ/Mtn Super League for the 2023/24 season. The team secured their place in the top tier of Zambian football after today's matches. Trident FC, who are currently the leaders of the Football Association of Zambia National League, had an impressive season with 59 points from 30 games, winning 17, drawing 8, and losing 5 games so far. With only a few games remaining, they will now focus on winning the league title to cap off their outstanding season. The path to Super League qualification was made easier for Trident FC after the City of Lusaka FC, Kafue Eagles FC, and Young Green Buffaloes failed to pick up maximum points in their respective matches, paving the way for the conquerors to take their place among the elite teams of Zambian football. Mufulira Wanderers, who are currently in second place, managed to increase their points tally to 54 points after beating Aguila Stars 4-2 in their week 31 fixture. However, they still trail Trident FC by five points, who have played one game less than the Wanderers.
