The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is set to receive $1.5 million (K31 million) from FIFA for the Copper Queens' participation in the upcoming Women's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia. This funding is in addition to the $1 million the association received for preparation. The amount will further increase based on the team's performance in the tournament. The winners of the World Cup will pocket $4.2 million, while the semi-finalists will receive around $2.4 million. The last 16 and quarter-finalists will get $1.8 million and $2.1 million, respectively. FIFA stated that each member association would receive increased funding based on their performance, covering the team's costs and supporting football activities. Additionally, each player will receive a $30,000 (K600,000) group stage appearance fee, which will double to $60,000 (K1.2 million) if Zambia reaches the last 16. Zambia is placed in Group C with Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica.
