Zambia's rising star, Joseph 'Sabobo' Banda, is attracting interest from a top-flight Swiss club, sparking rumors of a potential move in the upcoming transfer window. The 17-year-old forward, who will turn 18 this year, is reportedly in Switzerland, where he is believed to be on the verge of signing a long-term contract with FC Zurich. Fueling the speculation, Sabobo shared a photo on Instagram alongside his compatriot, Miguel Chaiwa, taken at the Stadion Wankdorf in Bern after a recent draw game between Young Boys and FC Zurich. Sabobo's talent has not gone unnoticed, as he previously underwent trials at Barcelona FC in Spain following an impressive performance at the COSAFA tournament. However, no agreement was reached at that time. After returning to Zambia, the young prodigy joined Red Arrows Football Club and helped them clinch the Zambian Super League title. Nevertheless, recent reports suggest that Sabobo is already in Switzerland, and sources indicate that a deal with FC Zurich is imminent. If the transfer materializes, FC Zurich, a 13-time Swiss Super League champion, will secure a promising addition to their ranks. Additionally, should Sabobo join Zurich, Zambia would have two players represented in the Swiss league, with Chaiwa already plying his trade at Young Boys. Excitement looms as football enthusiasts eagerly await the outcome of negotiations between Sabobo and FC Zurich.
