Zambia Air Force remains dedicated to fostering sports development by allocating sufficient resources. This commitment is exemplified by the longstanding tradition of the Air Force's Commander's Netball Tournament, which commenced in 2018. Lieutenant General Colin Barry, ZAF Commander, expressed this commitment in a speech delivered on his behalf by Deputy Air Force Commander, Major General Oscar Nyoni, during the official inauguration of the ZAF Commander's Netball Tournament in Lusaka. Additionally, Felix Mkandawire, the Chairperson of the Midlands Netball Association, praised the Air Force for its unwavering support of netball and various other sports disciplines. Notably, the tournament has attracted over thirty teams from the elite netball league and the corporate world, including 12 netball premier league teams, 7 men's teams, 11 corporate teams drawn from the Midlands, and 9 Zambia Air Force teams from various ZAF formations.
