Zesco United winger Edward Lungu, 21, is frustrated by a lack of playing time at the Ndola-based Super League club in the 2022/23 season. Lungu joined Ndola giants in 2021 from Kitwe United on a three-year deal but has fallen to the pecking order under head coach George Lwandamina. The midfielder has failed to make the match-day squad in more than six consecutive weeks. He is now prepared to part ways with the nine-time Zambian champions, a source close to the player has revealed. It has been revealed that Lungu is now getting frustrated at the club since the return of Lwandamina at Zesco United. He is said to be considering his options for next season, with several Super League clubs expected to line up for a potential swoop. “It has been the toughest period of his playing career because he was impressive last year but can no longer make the squad. It is every player’s dream to play football…. But if he is not given the chance, then he has to consider other options,” the source said. “The player is frustrated by lack of playing time,” the source disclosed. “And he is thinking about the next move.” Before moving to Zesco, Lungu scored 5 goals and provided 6 assists for Kitwe United in 25 appearances. Lungu hasn't kicked the ball in an official match since his last involvement in February against FC MUZA. ZESCO UNITED
