Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho Upon his arrival at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport yesterday, Ronaldinho expressed his excitement about the upcoming match. The 43-year-old legendary player, who made 140 appearances for FC Barcelona between 2003 and 2008, spoke to the media, stating, "We came here to play the game, to have fun, to enjoy, and also to make the people enjoy the game." Through an interpreter, Ronaldinho assured journalists that they should expect a captivating display with plenty of goals, ensuring that the spectators would be thoroughly entertained. Ronaldinho will lead a lineup of fellow Barca legends, including Dutch star Patrick Kluivert, former Spanish international Gaizka Mendieta, Argentine Javier Saviola, and Brazilian player Edmílson, with Albert Ferrer Lloppis from Spain as the coach. Meanwhile Chipolopolo AFCON-winning defender Davies Nkausu, in an interview, expressed his determination to win the match, stating, "It will be good to play in front of our fans. It will be competitive; we hate to lose; that’s the mentality that Herve Renard and Patrice plugged into our heads. Losing was not part of our DNA, so we will be playing to win." Nkausu, who is currently an assistant coach for SuperSport United Under-19, assured the press that the 2012 Legends team would bring the same energy to the field. He emphasized that they would not take the friendly match lightly and that they approached every game with a competitive mindset. The exhibition match, scheduled to kick off at 15:00 hours, will see the clash of Chipolopolo legends and their counterparts from FC Barcelona.
