The President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Andrew Kamanga, launched the new KoPa jersey in Ndola today. During the launch, he emphasized the significance of Ndola as a hub for football activities in the country. Kamanga expressed his excitement about the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Zambia's national team, Chipolopolo, and Ivory Coast's Elephants, and highlighted the positive mindset that the occasion would bring. Kamanga highlighted the transformation of the national team under new management and stated that the new jersey symbolized a fresh beginning. He thanked the stakeholders involved in the laborious process of upgrading the jersey and expressed confidence in a positive response from the Zambian public and fans. The FAZ President acknowledged the success of the KoPa brand, which was founded five years ago, and emphasized the importance of supporting local brands. The launch of the third-generation KoPa stripe was made possible due to overwhelming support from the Zambian people. The newly unveiled kit would also bring vibrancy to the Copper Queens’ FIFA World Cup campaign. Kamanga revealed plans to expand the KoPa brand to meet market demands, offering a range of apparel such as tracksuits, casual shirts, and memorabilia. Efforts would be made to ensure the affordability and accessibility of the merchandise by expanding the distribution network. The FAZ would partner with MTN and other stores nationwide to facilitate the widespread distribution of KoPa replicas. The FAZ President expressed gratitude to the government, particularly President Hakainde Hichilema and the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts, for their support of the initiative. He concluded by expressing confidence in the continued growth of the KoPa brand.
