UC Lecce's Lameck Banda showed his skills as he played an impressive 68-minute stint in the team's 2-2 draw against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Banda, a Chipolopolo winger from Zambia, started his 17th match of the season and was part of an attacking trio that included Gabriel Strefezza and Lorenzo Colombo, selected by coach Marco Baroni. During the match, Banda caused problems for Lazio's defense with his menacing runs on the left wing. In the first half, he sent in a cross that found Morten Hjulmand inside the box, who was fouled resulting in a penalty for Lecce. However, Strefezza missed the chance to give his team the lead by lashing his spot-kick wide. Ciro Immobile then put Lazio ahead in the 34th minute after receiving a neat through ball from Luis Alberto. But Lecce managed to equalize before half-time with a goal from Oudin. In the second half, Oudin scored again, this time volleying Lecce ahead in the 51st minute. However, chaos in Lecce's box led to Milinkovic-Savic's deflected leveler, dashing their hopes of taking a crucial step toward safety. Looking ahead, Lecce's next three matches of the Serie A season will see Banda and his team host relegation-threatened Spezia, make a trip to Monza, and finish the season at home against Bologna. With Banda's performance and the team's fighting spirit, they will look to end the season on a high note and secure their safety in the league.
