Napsa Stars football club over the weekend delivered an impressive display in the MTN FAZ SUPER LEAGUE WEEK 29 fixture played at heroes stadium on Saturday beating the second-place Green Buffaloes by 4-1 in a thrilling encounter. The Perry Mutapa side went head to head against the Buffaloes side who are under the stewardship of his former assistant coach in Masauso Tembo in a battle of who comes out on top to take up the second spot in the league standing at the end of week 29 round of fixtures. The Ghanian striker Adams Zikiru who set his target tally for the season to 10 goals opened the scoring just 7 minutes in to give Napsa the lead before Felong Sitonya slotted home from the spot in what was a questionable decision from the match center referee gave a penalty in which appeared to be a clear dive from the buffaloes player. Sitonya's goal from the spot meant the match went into the break tied at 1-1. Speaking in a pre-match interview Napsa head Coach Perry assured the fans that his team would beat Green Buffaloes as they would come under pressure of wanting to preserve their stay in the top four as they have been accustomed to throughout the season. After the restart, Augustine Mulenga restored the lead for Napsa Stars 2 minutes in before Zikuru grabbed his brace for the day in the 78th minute to ensure Napsa Stars collected a maximum of three points. Second-half substitute Jimmy Mukeya was the one with the duty to add spice to the cake as he scored Napsa’s fourth and final goal of the match in the 83rd minute before the ref blew the final whistle to save Green Buffaloes from their misery. A win took Napsa Stars above Green Buffaloes into second on the log level on points with the latter though Napsa enjoys goal difference superiority.
