Manchester united Ivorian winger Amad Diallo says there is a need for Chipolopolo forward Fashion Sakala to be strong in the midst of criticism from Zambian fans. Sakala, of Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, on Monday, took to social media to air out his feelings regarding post-match events that characterized Zambia's 2-0 win over Lesotho in a 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations Group H match at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Sunday. "I am very disappointed with the Zambian fans for the vicious insults and endlessly booing directed at me when I have done nothing but show hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and commitment to win games for my country," wrote Sakala on Instagram. But in response to the post, Diallo, who is on loan at English Championship side Sunderland, implored his former Rangers teammate to remain steadfast. "Be strong brother, the best are always insulted," the Ivorian said. Diallo had a loan stint at Rangers last season playing 10 games and scoring three goals. He enjoyed a close relationship with Sakala during his stay in Glasgow. Diallo was part of the Ivorian side that beat Comoros Islands 2-0 on Tuesday evening and will be among the players that will be paraded by the West Africans against Zambia in June. Meanwhile, Sakala's Chipolopolo teammates have thrown their weight behind him. England Premier League side Leicester City striker Patson Daka said Sakala is doing fine, hence he should expect people to talk about him. "You cannot be a topic unless you are on top. Always with you and stay strong," Daka said in response to the post. Defenders Frankie Musonda and Roderick Kabwe said Sakala has the backing of his teammates. His Rangers teammate Antonio Colak also urged Sakala, whom he referred to as a prince, to always remain positive and strong. "Always positive and strong my brother Fashion Sakala prince from Zambia," Croatian striker Colak commented. Rangers FC
