Toronto FC and Zambia defender Aime Mabika remain unable to participate for Chipolopolo as he has not yet been granted a passport. Despite being included in the squad by Coach Avram Grant for the upcoming match against Ivory Coast, Mabika's official participation is still pending due to the absence of his passport. Grant believes that the inclusion of the towering defender could greatly benefit Zambia's efforts to qualify for the Africa Cup, a tournament they have been absent from for the past eight years. Zambia needs just one point from their remaining two matches to secure qualification, with a game against Ivory Coast scheduled for June 17 in Ndola followed by a trip to Comoros for the final round of qualifiers. Unfortunately, the Mabika passport situation has been ongoing for over a year since his last appearance in Zambia, and despite assurances from authorities that the necessary paperwork had been completed at the Ministry of Home Affairs, his passport has yet to be issued.
