The Zambia Women’s National Team will tomorrow lock horns with South Korea in the second of their two international friendly matches. The Copper Queens were handed a huge 5-2 defeat by South Korea on Friday and will be looking to get a positive result. Coach Bruce Mwape is expected to make a few changes tomorrow from the team that started on Friday at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. Mwape has declared his team fit and ready for the match tomorrow which will conclude their April FIFA Women’s window adventure in Asia. “All the players are ready for tomorrow’s game despite losing the first game and am sure the approach will be different from the last game,” he said. “The players who had knocks have recovered and are ready for the game. We will make a few changes, and one or two players who started on Friday will rest tomorrow.” Meanwhile, Skipper Barbra Banda says the team has worked on the mistakes they made in the first game and is looking forward to doing their level best on Tuesday. Hazel Nali is expected to return between the sticks to take over from Catherine Musonda who did not have a good game on Friday. Pauline Zulu could make way for either Vast Phiri or Mary Mulenga in the heart of defense to partner Agnes Musesa in the absence of the injured Lushomo Mweemba. Evarine Susan Katongo and Ireen Lungu are likely to maintain their places in the middle of the park but Mwape has other options in Mary Wilombe, Susan Banda, Comfort Selemani, and Hellen Chanda. Upfront, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji could return to the starting lineup to partner Rachel Kundananji and Barbra Banda in the attack. Hellen Mubanga, Inonge Kaloustian, Grace Chanda, and Rachel Nachula are all available for selection. The match will kick off at noon at the Yongin Mireu Stadium. South Korea, ranked 17th in the World, is in Group H alongside Morocco, Colombia, and Germany. The two matches against Zambia have provided them an opportunity to face African opposition as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup. Zambia is in Group C alongside Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica. The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand. FAZ #TheCopperQueens
