FC Muza, a team just from the lower division, has surprised many by qualifying for continental football in the MTN Super League in Zambia. Despite not having a luxurious bus and traveling across five provinces using their famous Rosa bus for the whole season, they have defied the odds and exceeded expectations. The Mazabuka-based top-flight team's hard work and dedication have paid off, and they are set to receive K4,950,000 (Four million nine hundred and fifty thousand Kwacha) from CAF as prize money for qualifying for the CAF competition for next season. While this is the minimum amount each team that qualifies for the tournament will receive, the money will increase if MUZA wins the group. Power Dynamoes, on the other hand, will receive K10,450,000 (Ten million, four hundred and fifty thousand Kwacha) from CAF to aid their participation in the Champions League. Although this money may not be enough to take the teams to the end of the competitions if they qualify for the group stages and subsequent finals, CAF will pay the teams with an improved cheque at every stage of progress. It is worth noting that FC Muza is also assured of receiving more than K300,000 from the ABSA Cup final in 2023 set for Heroes Stadium against Forest Rangers next week. If they win the cup, they will receive more than K700,000 as prize money for the only cup competition in the country. In conclusion, FC Muza has demonstrated that with hard work, dedication, and a determined spirit, it is possible to achieve great things even without a luxurious bus. Their journey serves as an inspiration to other teams and players. PICTURE -FC MUZA
