Zambia’s exports to Tanzania failed to impress during one of the continental biggest rivalry showpieces when Yanga and Simba went head to head over the weekend. Dar es Salaam came to standstill over the weekend as Simba SC hosted Yanga at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. Zambian winger Clatous Chota Chama started for Simba while striker Moses Phiri had to contend with a place on the bench. On the opposite end, striker Kennedy Musonda started for Young Africans. There was no major impact from the Zambians on the day. Simba beat Yanga 2-0 to claim bragging rights in one of the biggest derbies on the continent. Both Chama and Phiri have been in fine form this season for Simba. Musonda, a January window acquisition from the Zambian Super League Champions Elect has already impressed the ever-demanding Tanzanian fans.
