Lisa Cole, a former staff coach for the United States U17 Women's National Team, has been announced as the new technical advisor for the Copper Queens technical bench. She will work alongside coach Bruce Mwape in preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Cole brings with her more than 30 years of coaching experience across various levels and is knowledgeable in football operations, camps, non-profit work, and coach education. Before this appointment, Cole served as the Head Coach of the Fiji Women's National Team and as the Director of Women's Football, and Head Coach for Antigua and Barbuda's Women's National Team. During a training session at Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka, FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga introduced Cole to the technical bench and players. Kamanga also confirmed that Chipolopolo physical trainer Jamie Lawrence would be joining the Copper Queens, with a video analyst set to be appointed as well. Kamanga emphasized the importance of bringing in additional resources to strengthen the team ahead of the World Cup while reassuring the players that Coach Bruce Mwape would remain as the head coach. He encouraged the Copper Queens to embrace the new additions to the technical bench and to strive for competitiveness rather than mere participation in the World Cup. Kamanga's message to the team was to dream big and aim to win the World Cup. He emphasized the need for hard work and collaboration with the technical bench to achieve success at the tournament.
