FC MUZA has parted ways with Head Coach Lameck Banda after a successful 2022-23 season. According to sources, the Mazabuka-based club and Banda have mutually agreed to separate. Banda was appointed as the FC MUZA coach in August 2022 and oversaw a historic campaign. Under Banda's guidance, FC MUZA achieved impressive results, securing a second-place finish in the Super League, and earning automatic qualification for their inaugural CAF Confederation Cup. Additionally, Banda led the team to the ABSA Cup Final, where they narrowly lost to Forest Rangers in a thrilling match at the Woodlands Stadium. Thanks to the leadership and support of Club Director Keith Mweemba, FC MUZA experienced a positive growth in their fan base, with increased attendance at their matches due to their outstanding performances. Notable victories against formidable opponents like Zesco United, Zanaco FC, Forest Rangers, Nkana, and Green Eagles added to their successful season. As the representatives of Zambia in the upcoming 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup, FC MUZA will debut in Africa's premier club tournament, aiming to make a mark on the continental stage.
