ELITE LADIES FC report that On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, The Elite Ladies, known for setting records and pushing boundaries, faced off against ZANACO Ladies FC at Woodlands Stadium, achieving an unprecedented feat by raising a staggering K3200 from gate takings. This marked the first time a women's team in Zambia collected more than K1000 in gate revenue. The Elite Ladies made waves as the first women's team in the country to introduce gate charges for their matches. Additionally, they temporarily halted the live streaming of games in the first half to ensure increased revenue generation for team operations. With an impressive turnout of over 1500 spectators and tickets priced at K5 for open-wing seating, K10 for the grandstand, and K20 for VIP and VVIP sections, the club easily amassed K3,200 to boost its financial resources. This income comfortably covered the expenses associated with hosting the game, including provisions like water, fruits, referees' fees, security, match mascots, and other miscellaneous costs.
